About this Speaker

Christine Louis Dit Sully is an independent writer and researcher, and author of the book “Transcending Racial Divisions: will you stand by me?”. She is a former research biologist who has left her laboratory bench career to widen her field of research to politics and humanities. Her second PhD “Transcending Racial Divisions: anti-Racism and Identity Politics” (2021) has developed her research in the directions of the race and racism issue, identity politics and the meanings of politics, freedom and identity. Her book was written as a response to the restricted political imagination within the issue of anti-racism. She wanted to remind herself and others that there have been and that there are other ways of understanding the world than to accept the common framework of racial thinking and identity-based politics.
